Periyar University launches online degree courses for UG and PG Students

Periyar University, Salem has announced the launch of an online learning portal to offer undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes in multiple domains. The initiative has been introduced by the university in line with the National Education Policy 2020.    

Through the online learning portal, https://www.Periyaedu.in, the university intends to offer students with a wide variety of courses such as MBA, MSc in Mathematics, MA with specialization in English and History, Masters in Commerce etc. It will also offer courses to help students to get into business management and literature like Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Arts in English. 

With the New National Education Policy 2020, the top 100 universities in India have decided to launch online degree programmes for aspirants. 

“As a leading, dynamic and progressive institution highly focussed on delivering top-class higher education for all, we are pleased to announce the launch of online degree programmes on our e-learning portal. This is a glorious moment for us, a new beginning in the renowned lineage and history of this prestigious institution,” said the official statement released by the university. 

P Kolandaivel, Vice-Chancellor of Periyar University said, these online degree courses are designed in a way to offer students engaging, class-room-like learning with personalized support from the teaching faculty to ensure their learning and career development. The leading university of Tamil Nadu, Periyar university is aiming to enhance its Gross Enrolment Ratio with this launch in Higher Education  

The learning resources of the online programme for each subject are highly engaging and interactive. It is designed to clear their concepts and make learning easier for participants. With the internet revolution and growing aspirations of our youth, such programmes launched will only further the cause of quality higher education in our country as per the National Education Policy 2020, said the university.
