Most Dangerous Passwords Around The Globe

Technology has become one of the foremost integral parts of our lives. One can't imagine one life without a laptop or a smartphone. In a world where billions of individuals are putting their data on the web, vulnerability just keeps on expanding year-on-year. National Cyber Security Coordinator Lt Gen (retd) Rajesh Pant recently said that cyberattacks have gone up by a noteworthy margin.

Pant claims that every day 4 lakh malware is found and at least 375 cyberattacks are witnessed in India itself. The risk is much higher for financial and payment-related information. To ensure ourselves, we just need to guarantee we are using strong passwords.

NordPass releases a list of the ‘worst’ passwords for every year. The list is made out of all the passwords that are effortless to crack.

Here is the list of the world's most dangerous passwords. If you are using any of them, then changing a password is the only option to secure your data/account.

In case you have used any of the above-mentioned passwords on your accounts, you must immediately need to change your password right now to ensure a higher level of security.

How to set a strong password?

  • Your password must be at least 10 characters long but can be much longer and
  • a minimum of 1 lower case letter [a-z] and
  • a minimum of 1 upper case letter [A-Z] and
  • a minimum of 1 numeric character [0-9] and
  • a minimum of 1 special character: ~`!@#$%^&*()-_+={}[]|\;:"<>,./?
  • at least 1 upper case, numeric, and a special character must be EMBEDDED somewhere in the middle of the password, and not just be the first or the last character of the password string.
