SWAYAM, one of the government-initiated programmes, is now offering free online courses on its platform. Students and professionals can take up free online courses in computer science and engineering as per their choice. The course is formulated to achieve the three cardinal principles of education policy namely access, equity and quality. 

The platform is offering courses in the most emerging branches in engineering studies to help students and professionals upgrade and enhance their knowledge. SWAYAM is offering both short term and long-term duration courses. 

UGC has already made provision and issued guidelines to various universities to find out courses where credits can be transferred. Some of the short-term courses in computer science and engineering can be done for credit transfer.

4. Demystifying Networking by Prof. Sridhar Iyer from IIT Bombay

5. Introduction to Quantum Computing by professors from IIT Madras, IBM research and IBM systems. 

6. Python for Data Science by Prof. Ragunathan Rengasamy from IIT Madras.
